The farmers' market is a busy place and is not always the best environment for your pup. We love all dogs, but our top priority is safety for all market-goers AND your four-legged friends. Please review and be mindful of all behavior guidelines below before bringing your dog along with you. Owners and pets that violate behavior guidelines will be asked to leave the market immediately. Guidelines will be enforced, when necessary, by Collingswood Special Police and the Market Director.
The Official Market Leash + Dog Tent
In addition to showcasing their adoptable animals, educating our market-goers on good pet care and soliciting donations for their essential work, our rescues who volunteer at the MarketDog Tent also help us operate our Market Leash program to help ensure our four-legged friends (and their owners) are on their best behavior. The official Market Leash is $10 and is good for as long as the program lasts. This Market leash is your dog's "permit" for the Market and shows that you have reviewed and agreed to our behavior guidelines. Owners and pets that violate these guidelines will be asked to surrender their leash-permit and the dog will no longer be permitted at the Market.
We're excited to announce that for our 2024 season, our resident rescue will be 4 Paws Dog Rescue of NJ! They will be with us almost every week for the season and in their absence, other local shelters and rescues will be at the Dog Tent.
Visit the Dog Tent to receive a copy of our Dog Policy/Behavior Guidelines and to purchase your official Market Leash! Note: the Market does not receive any funds from the leash program. $5 goes to the agency staffing the Dog Tent that day and the other $5 offsets the cost of the leash.
