What’s in season:
Many of the usual suspects from your favorite farmers can be picked up this weekend: Corn, eggplant, yellow squash, zucchini, green beans. Potatoes, herbs, onions, peppers, melons – it’s a summer bounty out there, folks!
DanLynn Organic Farms will have a sale on (aprox) 25 lb crates of San Marzano, plum & slicing tomatoes for only $20 a crate! Plus – a sale on kale, quarts of slicing tomatoes, cherry tomatoes and heirloom tomatoes and sugar baby watermelons. They’ll also have corn and green beans (the last for both this season), okra, chiogga and golden beets, multi-colored sweet peppers, Russian and French fingerling potatoes, white and yellow onions. A NOTE ON TOMATO CRATES – DanLynn says: We’re bringing extra tomato crates to the market but to assure you will get a crate, it’s best to reserve one: Either email (Danlynnfarms@aol.com) or text (609-731-5001) your request by Thursday night and provide the following: Name, email address, cell phone #, # of crates, type of tomatoes (plum, San Marzano or slicing) and if your pickup will be Saturday 8/16 @ the Collingswood Farmer’s Market or on Friday 8/15 between 3 & 8pm @ the farm.

This week’s guest vendors Dee Dee’s Garden will have their traditional pesto as well as Thai basil pesto and vegan pesto
This week’s guest artist – Evelyn Taylor of Evelyn Taylor Designs! Collingswood jewelry designer and clay artist Evelyn Taylor Bonner explores the endless myriad of ceramic techniques while on a constant hunt for new inspiration and materials. Her most recent jewelry work features shells and plants encased in resin. She shares her home studio with her husband Chris who is also a ceramic artist.
This weekend is also Collingswood’s Craft and Fine Art Festival! Blocks of billowing tents selling juried art from all over the country. After you shop the Market hit Haddon Ave for a gorgeous festival! Saturday and Sunday, 10am to 5pm.
