Are you buying gifts? Decorating? It’s Handmade Holidays at the Collingswood Farmers’ Market! The Market has late season crops, prepared goods and 20 Artists/Crafters/Artisans that continue their “gentle takeover” of the Market with gifts, crafts, art, décor and more. Come! Shop! Be happy!
Planning for Turkey Day: Get items now that will keep, such as cheeses, apples, squash, butters, root veggies. Get more perishable items (pies, baked good, lettuces) next Saturday.
Schobers will be honoring Veterans this Saturday at Collingswood. All Veterans will receive a container of apple cider and a bag of apples as a thank you for their service. The Veteran himself or herself must be on the premises.
Alpacas last visit this year! Get in a snuggle before they’re gone.
What’s in season:
For the first time ever, Dan Lynn Farms is offering sweet potatoes in bulk for you to keep or “put up” for the winter! Buy as much as a 1/2 bushel crate (weighing 20 lbs). Here are the details: “The sweet potatoes will not be graded. Some will be long and stringy, others will be oversized and some may have mole nibble marks on them. They all will be “unwashed”. If you keep dirty potatoes in a cool dry spot (garage, basement away from the heater), they will keep for months!”
Springdale Farms will have apple cider donuts, pies, cakes, cookies, quick breads, hot apple cider by the cup, broccoli, cauliflower, kale, collards, lettuce, cabbage, beans, ornamental corn, popcorn, gourds, cranberries, honey from the farm, Peach Salsa from the Food Bank. Springdale is also taking orders for fresh turkeys raised at Griggstown Farm in Princeton.
Wild Flour Bakery will have pies and pumpkin eclairs. Thanksgiving orders for pies, pumpkin eclairs, rolls, and breads can be ordered at www.wildflourbakery.net and picked up at the Collingswood Market on November 19. We have cranberry-pumpkin bread – good for the leftover turkey sandwiches and brioche for French toast Yum!
Duker T’s will have cream of crab soup. That’ll warm you up nice!
