August 4 & 5: Local chefs showcase peaches for Just Peachy Restaurant Week! Make reservations!

What’s in season:
Look for fresh peaches galore from our orchard participants. They will have white and yellow, even the “donut” variety around. Nectarines belong to the same species as peaches so don’t forget to try them, too!

Hillacres Pride
has on special this week chicken wings from pastured chickens and they’re stocked with Jersey beef. The very on-theme Peach Festival Fresh cheese is back – be sure to try a sample.

Wild Flour will have a new focaccia – tomato and garlic with tomatoes from Buzby Farms. Their tomato sourdough bread with thyme and garlic will also have Buzby tomatoes (we sense a pattern). Looking ahead, they tell us, “We’re looking forward to having peach pies at the August 8 Market.”

In honor of August as NJ Peach Month Tortilla Press Café is serving peach, bacon & brie quesadillas and waffles with fresh peach topping from Schober Orchards.

DanLynn Farms will have tomato crates for sale again this week!  San Marzano for $30, with discounted crates of Plum, Amish Heiroom Plum, and Slicing at $25. Crates are sold on a first come first served basis. Their sale on Yukon gold potatoes continues this week, as well.

They’re also bringing organic cucumbers, honey, kale (curly green and flat leaf), onions (white, yellow & red), sweet frying yellow & green peppers, bell peppers, potatoes (fingerlings, Russian, French and Amerosa varieties), okra, tomatoes (bing cherry & Ceylon heirloom cherry, grape, slicing, & heirlooms).

But wait, there’s more! Beets, cabbage, red kale, lettuces peppers, eight ball zucchini and parsley From Muth Family Farms and brown and green free range eggs.
