Make fries with that. There are lots of potatoes in season as well! Get some spuds (traditional or sweet) and make up some over fries (recipes below).

For gardeners: Plant now or ‘til next spring hold your peace. Enjoy these last weeks of 2014 gardening – the weather is great for getting a landscaping plant in the ground.

What’s a kiwi berry? A. T. Buzby Farm‘s got this nutrient dense super fruit. They say: They’re grown on our farm using organic practices.  They are amazingly sweet – just pop them in your mouth. Plus – Corn is still plentiful and very sweet. Great time to freeze some to enjoy all winter.  If interested in 50 ears to freeze just ask, $15. Last week for cantaloupe, too.”

DanLynn Organic Farms will have broccoli, kale, sweet potatoes (yam), eggplant, tomatoes, Swiss chard, multicolored and red peppers, collard greens, Napa cabbage, acorn and butternut squashes
Viereck Farms will have ornamental gourds for fall decorating along with a good supply of wax beans and green beans.

Tortilla Press Cafe will be featuring Jersey apple topped waffles (thanks to Schoeber Orchards) and also our pumpkin, black bean and goat cheese quesadillas.

Treehouse will be sampling its homemade “Real Vegan Fake Mayonnaise” and tofu cream cheese.  Swing by for a free taste.

Hillacres Pride: On special puddle duck Camambert, and our new pork roast from our free range Pigs.  We are also looking for recipes for soups using our chicken stock!
