We will begin taking reservations for fund raising and information spaces after April 1, 2010.

Please note that we have made changes to the reservation policy. Read ALL the info before calling in a reservation.

There are two categories of non-profit space: Fund-raising and Info-only

Who is eligible for fund-raising and info spaces? (Criteria updated: May 2009)

We regret we cannot accomodate the large volume of requests for these spaces without some restrictions—

Fund-Raising:

These spaces at the Market are available as a civic amenity for:

  • Collingswood 501c3s/municipal groups (examples: PTAs, sports teams) raising funds for their benefit.
  • Service-based Collingswood 501c3s may raise funds for causes they support.
  • Scheduled charity event "teams" made up of Collingswood residents are permitted to fund raise for their team-related event. We may ask you to provide proof of registration for the event.

Information-only:

Those wishing to distribute information on any market day may do so canvassing-style, walking about the pedestrian areas handing out flyers without obstructing Market activity.

Setting up anything at the Market requires permission. Please contact market director Betsy Cook at betsycook@comcast.net.

The Market reserves the right to reject space requests for any reason.

Reservation dates below. Please read all the information carefully.

COLLINGSWOOD FUND RAISING/COMMUNITY GROUPS/NON-PROFIT:

QUESTION: Can I raise money or distribute information for my school group/charity/organization at the Market?

ANSWER: Yes, but with restrictions. The Market has become a very popular attraction for donation-seeking school groups, sports teams, and charities. In the interest of fairness and organization, we must insist on getting permission in advance to use the Market for fund raising purposes.

Bucket-style panhandling is not allowed at any time.

Need an idea?

Soft pretzel sales are our most popular fund raising request. We need advance notice so you may sell in Pretzel Factory's space. Offering a raffle prize or face painting for tips is popular as well.

"Bake sales" and products similar to farmer/vendor items are not permitted.

Pretzel orders (reserve dates first!): The Market does not handle your pretzel order, you must order and pickup yourself. Call Cheryl or Sherri Pope at the Pretzel Factory: 858-6161, the week of your sale. Contact the pretzel factory directly with questions about ordering. Their store is located about three blocks from the Market and they are familiar with Market orders.

TO RESERVE SPACE: Please email Betsy Cook, Market Director to request a date, at betsycook@comcast.net. Have this information ready:

1. Which available date you would like (see calendar below)
2. Indicate FUND RAISE or INFO request
3. Fund raisers only: Every item you intend to sell
4. Please note your staff position/connection with the Collingswood non-profit you represent.

We reserve the right to refuse space for any reason.

2010 Fund-Raising Instructions:

Please keep track of your reservation. We do not send out reminders and below is your guide to setup:

Arrive around 7-7:30am to be ready when the Market begins at 8. Come to the information tent to check in.

You will be given an appx. 10' x 10' space to set up yourself. All tents, chairs, and tables must be provided by you.

Your group is a guest at the Market. Our farmers and vendors agree to not call out, walk through crowds with signs or solicit sales from shoppers from outside of the market space they occupy. We ask that you conduct your participation with the same respect for this Market rule.

DON'T FORGET to bring signs that let people know who you are fundraising for—and telling friends and family to come out and support your sale may also increase your success!

2010 Fund-Raising Calendar:

Fundraising and/or community space is a first come, first served opportunity. Both fund raisers and information-only groups share the guest spaces calendar.

Please limit reservations to two dates max per group or team (this keeps dates available for others). You may reserve again after your first dates have passed.

We will begin taking reservations for community spaces on April 1, 2010.
