What’s in season:
Eggplant is making the rounds. Corn, tomatoes, beans. You might see some peppers, too!
Viereck Farms reports: Jersey white sweet corn along with field grown Jersey tomatoes, grape tomatoes and lots of beans! Kirbys, squash and limited quantities of peas and various other goodies.
Buzby’s tells us they will have plenty of sweet corn, field grown tomatoes, green bell peppers, eggplant and cantaloupes all from their farm.
DanLynn farms will have a sale on white onions, kale, zucchini, yellow squash pickling and regular cucumbers. We’ll also have fingerling potatoes, red beets, chiogga beets, mint, and basil.
Hill Acres Pride will have ham steaks on special (great on the grill or in the frying pan). Also – Honey Fresh Cheese and new Tomato Creole Fresh Cheese is being sampled this week. Chicken is in good supply and new beef this week.
